Ruth's Chris Steak House, Ponte Vedra, FL

Our Interior Designers in Ponte Vedra Redesigned Ruth Chris Steakhouse

RHGI came to BDD and requested we design a refresh for one of the most popular restaurants in the Ruth’s Chris family, Ponte Vedra. The restaurant, with an outstanding following was beginning to show its age and it was time to remodel and reflect the fresh vibrancy of this community. Ponte Vedra, an area that’s a short drive from Jacksonville is synonymous with golf. The PGA tour and Players Championship are played there at the TPC Sawgrass, Ruth’s Chris Ponte Vedra became the go to spot for the golf’s greatest stars bringing with them a strong & faithful client base. That’s why we were chosen as the preferred interior designers in Ponte Vedra to complete the transformation of Ruth Chris Steakhouse in Ponte Vedra.

We successfully transformed the space with the use of custom metal and wood lighting that set a warm glow while highlighting wall finishes/wall coverings and proprietary art that depict lush wood grain and mountainous terrain. The sparkle and use of color and light add the glittering touch.

This set the stage for our design, which needed to capture the local vibe and history in a classic “country club” style with an eclectic mix of materials and modern touches. When one enters, they are struck with the elements of rich woodworking mixed with metals, a custom mosaic back bar, leathers, plaids and modern crystal lighting that glows warmly with the patterns created on the ceiling. The wine corridor clad in the same wood and metal creates a special feature that brings you into the bar lounge and dining areas. Chevron wood planked floors, textured 3D acoustic ceilings and shimmering acrylic panels complete the design.

In the dining areas, the custom lighting details by Hammerton continue with rich beamed ceilings and custom art that reflects the golfing heritage. One key piece is the mural printed on acrylic, the map of the TPC course that anchors the room and creates a dramatic divide between the two dining rooms.

The blue suede that adorns the walls of the private dining room is the backdrop for the collection of handwritten personally autographed dinner plates of Golfs Greats that the restaurant now proudly displays for all to enjoy. This design successfully embodies the classic style of the area with a touch of glamour and whimsy that come together in a warm and welcoming space.
